BREND is a design studio founded in 2022 by Joe Yoshimura.
Our work is rooted in spatial design across diverse fields such as retail, restaurants, offices, residences, and installations, while extending into creative direction, art direction, and planning.
Just as no two landscapes in nature are ever the same, we always strive to pursue a universal beauty that exists only in that particular place.This is something that emerges only through countless dialogues, until form begins to take shape.What we value most is not the finished outcome, but the process itself.We believe it is within this process that true and enduring value resides.
What we envision is a way of making, where different thoughts and intentions interweave, resulting in creations that hold meaning for everyone involved.
BRENDは、2022年に吉村穣によって設立されたデザインスタジオです。
店舗、レストラン、オフィス、住宅、インスタレーションなど分野の空間デザインを基軸に、クリエイティブディレクション、アートディレクション、プランニングなど、幅広い領域におけるクリエイティブを行っています。
自然の美しい景色がふたつとないように、そこにしかない普遍的な美をいつも目指しています。それは、かたちが立ち上がるまでにたくさんの対話を重ねてはじめてできるもの。私たちが最も大切にしているものは、そのプロセスです。そうしてできるものにこそ、永続的な価値があると考えています。
Born in Kyoto, Japan in 1995, Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Kindai University. Founded BREND in 2022. At the core of his practice is the extraction and reinterpretation of the multilayered experiences and sensations found in nature, which his express through spatial design.
1995年 京都府京都市生まれ。2019年 近畿大学建築学部建築学科 卒業。2022年 BREND 設立。自然の中で得られる情景の魅力や感覚を多面的に捉え、それらをデザインとして再構築・表現することを活動の軸としている。
